The Moulin Segaud pond can only be rented in its entirety. With its approximately 1.8 hectares, you can come with up to 4 fishermen but we recommend that there be no more than 3.
A haven of peace with the possibility of accessing the services of the town of Moulins just a few kilometers away (restaurants, shops, etc.).
On the main bank, we find a compact and organized chalet of 25m2, it has two independent bedrooms and can accommodate up to five people. You can contemplate the pond from inside the chalet thanks to a large bay window installed in the main room. The bathroom has a spacious 100*80 cm shower, the toilets are separate.
A large platform has been built just in front of the chalet offering a wide opening. A second platform was created on the second part of the pond in order to accommodate bivvies. It is advisable to use a rodpod and not spades on the platform. A boat on each station is included in the offer as well as 2 weighing bags and 2 landing mats.
At the dike of the pond, you can find up to 2.5 m deep. The bottom consists of sand and silt. The pond is relatively flat but there are many variations in substrate: a careful survey will allow you to put all the chances in your favor.

Around a hundred carp between 8 and 27 kg populate the pond with an average weight of around 13kg. You will mainly find mirror and common carp as well as a few fully. The stock is also made up of a few mandarin catfish and some very large white clams weighing over 30 kg.

Draining the pond
The pond is drained on average every 3 years in order to control the stock and the general condition of the banks and bottom of the pond. In order to help you in your fishing, we bring you some clues with photos of the empty pond and offer you this video presenting some subjects which shelter the places.

Rules and regulations
Arrival time: between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. – Departure time: between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
It is important to respect these times otherwise the gate will be closed.
- After unloading your equipment, you must park your car in the designated parking lot.
- Only green or camouflage tents and umbrellas are permitted.
- Swimming is prohibited.
- Contact us when you want to bring a dog, we must consider each case separately. Dogs must be kept on a leash and their droppings picked up.
- Ground fires are prohibited, barbecues are permitted.
- Please limit noise pollution.
- Children are the responsibility of their parents or supervisors.
- 2 boats are available free of charge, it is absolutely obligatory to wear a life jacket. It is prohibited to bring your own boat.
- Excessive drug and alcohol consumption is not permitted on site.
- 2 landing mats, 2 weighing bags are included in the price. It is forbidden to use your own equipment for this. You must BRING fish sanitizer.
- Tube markers are authorized, however no marker with a thread such as an H marker will be tolerated.
- The use of bait boats is authorized.
- Boilies with preservatives are prohibited, you can only fish with fresh bait without preservatives.
- Due to poor preparation of particles by some fishermen, all cooked seeds are prohibited on the Vaise pond. You can buy seeds prepared on site.
- Leadcore is prohibited, only Korda “Dark Matter Safe Zone leaders” are allowed.
- Barbless hooks are mandatory. We do not allow any exceptions, if we find a rig equipped with barb hooks, you will be immediately evicted without compensation and the security deposit will be kept!
- Braiding on the main line and at the bottom of the line is prohibited. Only fluorocarbon and grained braids are allowed on the leader.
- Headlines are prohibited.
- Make sure that your assembly allows the release of the lead in the event of breakage, the safety of our fish being our priority.
- Storage bags are prohibited.
- Marking or mutilating fish is strictly prohibited.
- The owner and manager reserve the right to check your equipment at any time during your stay.
- If you do not comply with the rules, you will be immediately kicked off the site WITHOUT compensation.

8 km – La ville de Moulins
Capitale historique du Bourbonnais, la ville d’Art et d’Histoire de Moulins offre aux amateurs de patrimoine architectural et culturel, un bel héritage, témoin de son glorieux passé d’ancien duché de la famille des Bourbons. De nombreux attraits sont à y découvrir : la cathédrale Notre-Dame, le donjon de la Mal Coiffée, le beffroi du XVe siècle surmonté d’un jacquemart, les maisons anciennes du centre historique dont certaines sont ornées de pans de bois, le pavillon Renaissance Anne de Beaujeu des XVe et XVIe siècles …
50 km – Charroux
Cité ancienne classée parmi les “Plus Beaux Villages de France“, Charroux fut une ville fortifiée et un important carrefour d’échanges au Moyen Âge. Charroux conserve de cette époque, des façades en pierre sculptée des XVe au XVIIIe siècles, une maison à pans de bois et à encorbellement du XIVe siècle remarquablement préservée et un nombre exceptionnel de puits. Charroux est réputé pour son huilerie-moutarderie. La moutarde est obtenue par le mélange de graines de moutarde avec du vinaigre, du vin blanc de Saint-Pourçain et un cépage local appelé “Tressallier”. Charroux abrite également de nombreux artisans (bougies, confitures, artisanat d’art, foies gras…).
20 km – Parc animalier et d’attractions Le Pal
Ce magnifique parc combine une sélection d’animaux des 5 continents avec diverses attractions amusantes telles des montagnes russes, un cinéma 3D … Il y a beaucoup à faire pour toute la famille, des spectacles avec des oiseaux, des otaries et des perroquets sont organisés quotidiennement.
80 km – Les Gorges de la Sioule
Les Gorges de la Sioule, splendides, escarpées, se déploient depuis le barrage de Queuille, Puy-de-Dôme jusqu’à Ébreuil, Allier. Dans un cadre somptueux, les Gorges de la Sioule dominées d’un côté par l’imposant château de Chouvigny et de l’autre par le fantomatique château Rocher, sont classées en ZNIEFF (Zone Naturelle d’Intérêt Ecologique, Floristique et Faunistique). Une petite route pittoresque serpente le long de la rivière ; en été, le canoé est un excellent moyen de découvrir les lieux. C’est aussi un paradis pour les randonneurs.
55 km – La station thermale de Vichy
Vichy a, malgré sa taille réduite, un écho international : « Reine des villes d’eaux ». Vichy est la station thermale phare de l’Allier et un rendez-vous incontournable en Auvergne ! Une architecture foisonnante, un patrimoine de qualité magnifié par sa position sur les bords de l’Allier, un opéra prestigieux, des parcs aux arbres remarquables, des passages aux allures de septième art : le tout dans un cadre incomparable qui donne à Vichy un air charmant de « French Riviera » continentale.
